Summerlin is a master-planned community located partially inside the Las Vegas city limits and partially within Clark County. Master-planned communities are typically built on undeveloped land which is meticulously designed for residential and commercial use from inception.

Like every master-planned community, Summerlin was designed to provide residents with everything they need in an easily accessible area. In this community, you’ll find restaurants, shopping malls, small businesses, big box stores, and many community spaces. There are also several churches in addition to fitness facilities and the community’s own Summerlin Hospital.

Downtown is home to the Las Vegas Arts District as well as many small businesses, local restaurants, and independent entertainment venues. It features residential streets as well as business highrises, cultural centers, and historical and government buildings. With a Walk Score of 75, Downtown is considered “very walkable,” and most errands can be accomplished on foot. Most other neighborhoods in Las Vegas are car-dependent, so if you’re looking for an area where you can get around by bike and on foot, Downtown is for you.
